Ben & Jerry’s Gets A Taste For Social Media

Today is Peace Day. I don’t think we get presents for it so my wife refuses to celebrate it. She’s Hallmarkian – any holiday where a present is exchanged she celebrates.

In conjunction/celebration, social activists and gurus of all frozen dairy products, Ben & Jerry’s, released a new Lennonesque flavor called “Imagine Whirled Peace“.

Participants who click through to the Imagine Whirled Peace site are asked to submit their “message of peace”. Additionally they can include a photo. All photos/messages make up a giant mosaic peace symbol where you can roll over to read individual messages.

Ben & Jerry’s is supporting the campaign via facebook, paid search as well as their e-newsletter database.
